Directors NoteBook Software has released an update for Directors NoteBook, bringing it to version 1.5.3. Directors NoteBook is a presentation app designed for commercial and film storyboard development. The update adds a Job Notes feature for crew information and other enhancements and bug fixes. According to Directors NoteBook Software:
Directors NoteBook software today announced a student discount of 20% and the release of Directors NoteBook version 1.5.3.
Directors NoteBook is designed specifically for TV commercial directors and director/cameramen, however directors of longer format projects find it extremely useful as well.
Storing storyboard images, efx plate images, location and set photos, casting specs, and all shot specific details like; action, camera directions, lenses and frame rates, screen time, blocking, script, etc. As well as agency and client contact info.
New features included are: Job Notes for writing micsellaneous notes about crew, location, hotel or whatever the user wants to remember about a shoot, and the ability to print them out. Also changed the field label Line Producer to Producer to work better with some European production styles.
Other changes and fixes are:
- Changed the way two reports printed out to work more like the other reports
- Enlarged the size of the Loc/Set Notes field in printouts to show more than double the data
- Fixed an alignment issue with sun position times in printouts when not all the times were entered
