Ditto: Fast Web Picture Searches

· by · Tips

Google and yahoo! both offer great Web-based search engines, but that doesnit mean there isnit room for specialized search engines. In this case, Iim talking about Ditto.com. Ditto is a search site that hunts for news, weather information, and other items, but it really shines when you are looking for images.

The site has an uncanny way of locating obscure pictures, and instead of displaying long lists of Web site URLs, it shows thumbnails of the images it finds. And it is surprisingly fast.

a search for Steve Jobs returns a long list of images.

I use Ditto when I want to find groups of similar images, see what Web sites specific people are appearing on, and to track down difficult to find album artwork. Did I mention that Ditto is fast?
