Dr. Bott Expands ExtendAIR Support For Europe, Boosts G5 Ranges

Dr. Bott ahs announced expanded compatibility for the ExtendAIR antennae. ExtendAIR antennae are designed to boost the range available from the AirPort Extreme Base Station. ExtendAIR is now available for European users and can also boost ranges for users of Appleis G5. According to Dr. Bott:

Dr. Bott ExtendAir enhances G5 AirPort coverage, ExtendAir available in Europe.

ExtendAir Direct (+ 6.5 dBi) and ExtendAir Omni (+ 3.5 dBi) are Apple-certified dual-diversity antennas that enhance AirPort coverage for the Power Mac G5 by allowing access to Base Stations at a greater distance while providing wider and more uniform wireless coverage.

The Power Mac G5 has a built-in antenna port that is compatible with ExtendAir Direct or its omnidirectional cousin ExtendAir Omni. Exchanging the T-antenna that ships with Power Mac G5, users can access Base Stations at a greater distance while achieving wider and more uniform wireless coverage.

Adding the ExtendAir Direct to the G5 and aiming it at the Base Station will boost AirPort signal strength, thereby improving connection speed and reliability. If youire using the G5 as a software Base Station, plugging in an ExtendAir Omni improves the reception of all the connected computers.

You can find more information about ExtendAIR at the Dr. Bott Web site. The Omni is available for US$99.95, and the Direct is available for US$149.95.
