Drag Thing Updated With Clipping Support

· by Mike Washlesky · News

TLA Systems has released a maintenance update for DragThing, bringing it to version 5.2. DragThing is a dock utility designed for dock extension management. The update features support for clippings. According to TLA Systems:

TLA Systems is pleased to announce the immediate availability of DragThing 5.2, the thirty-third release of their popular dock application for Mac OS.

Unlike the Finder, DragThing will automatically create thumbnail preview icons for picture clippings. And you can make a selection within the clipping window if you just want to copy part of it - for both text and images. You can also assign hot keys to copy clippings to the clipboard or paste them directly into the frontmost application.

This release adds extensive support for clippings - anything you can copy and paste or drag, you can now keep in your docks as a new kind of clipping item.

You can find more information about the DragThing update at the TLA Systems Web site. DragThing 5.2 is free for registered users, while the full version is available for US$25.00.
