DropDMG Maintenance Update Now Shipping

C-Command has released an update for DropDMG, bringing it to version 1.7.1. DropDMG is a utility designed for creating .dmg and .img disk iimages. The maintenance update features minor performance enhancements and bug fixes. According to C-Command:

DropDMG 1.7.1 is now available.

DropDMG is the easiest way to create ".dmg" and ".img" disk images on Mac OS X. It can encrypt images and post-process them with GZip or MacBinary. It also supports segmented images and images that auto-open when you mount them. All the options are available from AppleScript. DropDMG is robust and has no trouble handling folders with spaces, quotation marks, dollar signs, or other "special" characters. It even works without Mac OS Xis optional "BSD Subsystem" installation. Full documentation is included in PDF and Apple Help formats.

New in this Version:

  • The user interface no longer gets out of sync when you modify license agreements
  • Changes to the segment size take effect immediately; you no longer have to type Tab or Return to commit them
  • The status window updates faster

You can find more information about the DropDMG update at the C-Command Web site. DropDMG 1.7.1 is available for US$5.00.
