DropDV Updated With VOB File Conversion

DropDV Software has released an update for DropDV, bringing it to version 1.1. DropDV is a utility designed for converting MPEG video files into editable DV streams. The update adds VOB file conversion and DV file splitting. According to DropDV Software:

DropDV Software announces the release of DropDV 1.1.

DropDV is a Mac OS X droplet which converts MPEG video into DV video streams. After conversion, your video can be edited in iMovie, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or any other DV video editing system.

DropDV 1.1 adds the following features:

  • VOB file support (for unencrypted DVDs)
  • Optionally split DV files larger than 2Gb (for iMovie compatiblity)
  • A unix command mpg2dv, for use in shell scripts
