EchoFX Upgrades InterView For Mac OS X To Version 2.2.3

U sers of the InterView USB video adapter from the now-defunct XLR8 will be interested to hear that driver support for their device continues to live on. EchoFX has updated the InterView software to version 2.2.3, fixing a problem with QuickTime Broadcaster, and adding a feature that will automatically check for updates. From EchoFX:

Today, EchoFX, a Macintosh software developer, announced the immediate availability of InterView for Mac OS X version 2.2.3.

This latest release corrects a problem with QuickTime Broadcaster and the InterView for Mac OS X software. Full size QuickTime Broadcaster movies will no longer appear grainy or "blockish" on the machines receiving them. In addition, the software will periodically check with the EchoFX server for updates, letting the user know when a newer version becomes available.

The upgrade is available free of charge to all EchoFX and XLR8 InterView 2.1 customers via www.echofx.com. Customers with older XLR8 InterView devices can purchase the software via the EchoFX Web site.

The InterView For Mac OS X software supports the InterView USB analog video capture device, and is compatible with Mac OS 10.1.3 through 10.2.6. The OS X software provides enhanced features over previous InterView software, including higher quality video images, higher frame rates, larger frame sizes, better sound synchronization and smaller file sizes for saved movies. In addition to the software, InterView hardware devices are also available for purchase from EchoFX.

EchoFX InterView 2.2.3 is available now as a free upgrade for users of InterView 2.1 or higher. Users of older versions can upgrade for US$25.
