Econ Technologies Updates ImageCaster To Version 2.0

Econ Technologies has updated its ImageCaster software to version 2.0. ImageCaster is a complete webcam solution for OS X. The new version adds new features such as motion detection and QuickTime movie composition, and adds support for more webcams. From Econ Technologies:

Econ Technologies updates ImageCaster, the complete webcam solution for Mac OS X, to version 2.0. Several new features were added including motion detection, a web page designer, QuickTime movie composition, secure FTP connection, and improved camera driver support. With ImageCaster, a camera, and your Mac, you have everything you need to set up your own personal webcam. Go to www.econtechnologies.com to find out all the details or try the demo. Purchase ImageCaster for only $30 and you are set for life. At Econ, we update often and it is always free - no user is left behind.

One of the most difficult parts of setting up a webcam is creating a web page to display your image. ImageCaster now comes with over a dozen web page templates. All you have to do is select one and change the text - no web page design skills needed! ImageCaster will upload your web page and display your camerais image; it even refreshes the page automatically.

"We had a lot of users who wanted to set up webcams but had no knowledge of how to set up a web page. Therefore, the trick was to automate this process completely so any user could set up a webcam," said Joseph Japes, Marketing Director. "We accomplished this by providing templates that the user selects and then modifies. Better yet, we can add more templates with future releases."

Of course there is a lot more than web page creation in the new version. Motion sensors can be placed on your image so you only capture images when there is activity. You can add motion sensors to any part of the image and control the sensitivity. Instead of just uploading a single image file, you can now create QuickTime movies from a series of images. This makes it very easy to view a series of images over a long period of time. Additionally, the secure FTP upload option has been added ensuring that your secret information is kept secret.

ImageCaster works with any Mac OS X compatible camera. Most cameras, like Appleis iSight, are plug and play. With ImageCaster 2.0 you can set up multiple documents and use the same camera or set up multiple documents using different cameras. All camera settings can be independently configured on a per document basis.

There are a lot of pieces in the webcam puzzle but ImageCaster takes care of them all for you. With ImageCaster, take your camerais image and capture it, enhance it, format it, add text to it, schedule it, upload it, and even create a web page to display it. ImageCaster does all this in an easy to use document interface. You can create multiple documents and capture images from different sources. Once you set it up, youire done. Itis never been easier.

You can get more information at Econ Technologyis Web site. ImageCaster 2.0 is available now for US$30 for new users, and as a free update to current users of the software.
