Email Client Update From Bains Software

Bains Software has released an update for Mail Beacon, bringing it to version 1.5.1. Mail Beacon is an email client app designed for the sending/receiving and management of email. The update features interface enhancements and bug fixes. According to Bains Software:

Bains Software has updated their unique mail client, Mail Beacon, to v1.5.1. This version adds a number of bug fixes and includes various interface enhancements.

Mail Beacon is both a mail checker and online email client. Mail Beacon checks an unlimited number of POP3 and IMAP accounts, and instantly notifies you of new messages. You can then read, reply, and filter email on server without downloading a single message.

What this means to you is no more wasted time downloading spam or unwanted attachments. You open Mail Beacon, clean out any spam and quickly respond to important messages, all before opening your regular bulky email client and downloading your messages to disk.

Changes:

  • Fixed a bug with very large UID lists
  • Removed "Edit Reminders" window
  • Removed "Show Unseen" feature. The message count of an account with new messages is now displayed in bold
  • Interface enhancements
  • Other bug fixes

You can find more information about the Mail Beacon update at the Bains Software Web site. Mail Beacon 1.5.1 is available for US$10.00.
