Epson Releases US$150 Printer-Copier-Scanner

Epson is releasing a new all-in-one device, the Stylus CX4600, which serves as a color printer, copier, and scanner. Some product specifications:

Dimensions 6.7 inches tall and 13.5 inches wide
Copy up to 13 black/color copies per minute
Print up to 15 pages per minute in black
Scan images up to 600 x 1200 dpi with 48-bit color depth
Input tray holds up to 100 sheets of plain paper

Epson is advertising several other features of the prodcut, including a restoration technology for faded photos.

A batttery of memory card slots enable the Stylus CX4600 to transfer data to a PC and printing directly from the media card. Memory cards supported include CompactFlash (I and II); Sony Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, MemoryStick Duo, and MagicGate SD; Smart Media, Secure Digital, MultiMediaCard, IBM Microdrive and xD-Picture Card.

Press information states that the Stylus CX4600 is currently shipping to retailers nationwide and can also be purchased via Epsonis own site at www.epsonstore.com. However, the Epson online store had no information on the CX4600 at press time. The productis technical information is available at Epsonis support site.

The product carries a one-year Epson Exchange Limited Warranty. The product carries an MSRP of $149, but Epson is currently offering a $20 rebate, reducing the price to $129.
