Exabyte Corp. announced Monday the release of its Magnum 1x7 LTO Autoloader, a 2u, rack-mountable, automated backup and restore product.
The system features one LTO-2 drive and seven cartridge slots. The system can archive up to 1.4TB (Terabytes) of data in native format, transferring data at up to 187GB per hour. Standard features include a barcode reader, Ethernet network administration port and remote management capability. The drive is field-replaceable, as well.
The systemis suggested retail price is US$5,455.
