Extensis Announces Raw Filter Update for Portfolio 7

September 28th, 2004 at 3:00 PM - News by Brad Gibson

Extensis, Inc. announced Tuesday an update to its Pro Photo Raw Image Filter for Portfolio 7.

The Raw Image Filter allows Portfolio 7 to extract EXIF metadata and IPTC from the Raw files, create thumbnails for displaying the images in catalogs, and generate high-resolution JPEG previews on-the-fly for detailed viewing, printing, slideshows and QuickTime movies.

The Pro Photo Raw Image Filter generates thumbnails and previews from the unprocessed raw image files created by professional digital cameras from Nikon, Olympus, Kodak, Canon, Fuji, Konica-Minolta, Pentax and Imacon.

Portfolio 7 is a digital asset management solution for organizing digital photos, illustrations, page layouts and presentations.

The free update for registered Portfolio 7 users will be available in the fourth quarter of 2004, the company said.

The full version of Portfolio 7 is US$199.95.
