· by · Macworld/iWorld Expo

Extensis announced the immediate availability of its new font management application, Suitcase Fusion, which includes features from Suitcase and Font Reserve, on Monday. This new font management tool replaces both Suitcase X1 and Font Reserve 3. It is a single-user application that lets you enable or disable specific fonts and typefaces, auto-activates typefaces in many design applications, and includes a new feature called Font Sense that adds a unique identifier to fonts to help ensure the correct type face is activated. Suitcase Fusion also checks inside PDF and EPS documents for fonts that need to be activated, and includes a copy of Morrison Softwareis Font Doctor 7.

Suitcase Fusion is available for download now at the Extensis Web site, and is priced at US$99.95. A five-user pack costs $479.95, and upgrades from Suitcase X1 and Font Reserve 3 are $49.95.
