Fastmac on Friday issued a new 84-watt-hour TruePower battery for the G3 "Pismo" PowerBook, providing up to 68% more capacity than the battery Apple originally included with the portable. The company noted that its TruePower batteries do not use any of the Sony cells that have caused the recent laptop battery recalls, and each one includes an integrated circuit that shuts it down if it detects problems.
Pricing is US$139.95.
