FileMaker announced that FileMaker Pro 8 is a finalist for a 2006 Codie Award on Thursday. The database development application was nominated for the "Best Database Management Solution" category. This is the 21st annual Codie Awards event, which recognizes the best products in the software, information and education technology industries.
Ken Wasch, SIIA President, commented "When one considers the number of outstanding companies that competed this year, being named a Codie Awards Finalist is a significant achievement."
FileMaker Pro 8 has already received editorial awards, including "Product of the Year" honors from Macworld and PC Magazine.
