FileMaker announced the immediate availability of its new personal database application Bento 1.0 on Tuesday. Bento is geared towards personal and small business use and is designed to help users create database solutions without learning new skills.
Bento can access iCal and Address Book data, imports spreadsheets and CSV files via drag-and-drop, offers an iTunes-like search feature, lets users link or embed documents, and supports Leopardis Quick Look. It also includes over 20 pre-designed templates, supports .Mac syncing for Web sharing, and more.
Bento 1.0 requires Mac OS X 10.5 or higher and is priced at US$49, or $99 for a five user family pack.
