FileWave Line Of Utilities Get OS X Support

FileWave has updated the entire FileWave line of utilities with support for OS X. The FileWave series of tools are designed for network administartion and management. The latest releases feature improved speed and Xserve support. According to FileWave:

FileWave announced today the immediate availability of the brand new FileWave™ modules: FileWave™ XServer 1.0, FileWave™ XAdmin 1.0, and FileWave™ XClient 3.0.

These new components run exclusively on Mac OS X, the UNIX based operating system from Apple Computer, Inc.

This new release marks the complete transition of all FileWave™ tools from Mac OS Classic to Mac OS X. But instead of merely moving the existing software code to the new platform, the FileWave team had decided to take a different approach.

The result of these efforts is not simply a new FileWave™ version, but a completely new product. Previously unknown ease-of-use, combined with amazing speeds were only possible by developing the new products from scratch and using the power of the Mac OS X operating system.

You can find more information about the newly updated products at the FileWave Web site.
