Tri-Edre has released an update for Tri-BACKUP, bringing it to version 3.02. Tri-BACKUP is a backup utility used for file storage on OS X. The update has several performance enhancements and bug fixes. According to Tri-Edre:
We are proud to announce the availability of a new version of our backup utility for Mac OS X (and 9), Tri-BACKUP 3.02.
This new version offers two different modes: "Immediate Actions" (to compare two different folders, or to do easy and immediate backup, synchronizations and restorations) and "Programmed actions" (to schedule repetitive backup and synchronizations).
Tri-BACKUP 3 feature a new backup mode: the "Evolutive Mirror Backup" saves the entire content of a disk with its changes. It saves the structure of each folder (what was modified, added and removed) as well as the recent versions of each modified document. Thanks to this function, you can revert any document (or a whole disk) to a previous state.

Optimizations and new features:
- comparison function now allows two modes: quick comparison only checks name, date and size of files, full comparison also checks any difference in the files content
- new options in Settings: optionally displays the Welcome window and the name of invisible files when a programmed action is in progress
- saves the main window size and position
- displays continuously the free size when in progress
- log files now list the access path with the name for each file
- shortkey for History list is now Cmd-I
- when a programmed action is selected, the origin/destination folders are displayed in the bottom part of the main window
- other cosmetic changes
Specific for Mac OS X:
- now files with long name are correctly copied under Mac OS X
- now saves the file Mac OS X permission informations during a backup/restore
- add large Mac OS X specific icons for the application and files
- Quit and Settings menu items moved into the Finder menu under Mac OS X
- system items in french are now in English (Tri-BACKUP menu, open dialogs, etc.)
