File Sync Utility Update fron Econ Tech

· by Mike Washlesky · News

Econ Technologies has released an update for ChronoSync, bringing it to version 1.0.3. ChronoSync is a back-up file and folder syncing utility designed for connecting several devices to a network. The maintenance update features performance enhancements and bug fixes. According to Econ Technologies:

Econ Technologies updates ChronoSync™, the automated synchronization tool for Mac® OS X, to version 1.0.3. Enhancements in this update include safe methods for removing files when synchronizing deletions, automatic detection of volume mounts, and improved notification when removable media needs to be inserted.

ChronoSync v1.0.3 introduces a safer method of removing files when uni-directionally synchronizing deletions.

New to this version is enhanced volume mount detection. If a target can not be verified, simply mount the volume and ChronoSync will automatically detect it.

Other notable enhancements include the preservation of Mac OS X "hard-links", the ability of rules to apply to synchronized deletions, and several other bug fixes.

You can find more information about ChronoSync at the Econ Technologies Web site. ChronoSync 1.0.3 is available for US$19.95.
