· by Mike Washlesky · News

Rainer Brockerhoff has released a new app for the Mac OS X finder. Zingg! 1.0 is a fast launch contextual menu designed to enhance the Mac finder. Zingg! allows users to select certain apps from a list for secure launching. This ensures that the correct apps will be launched when double-clicking files created in older OSis. According to Rainer Brockerhoff:

Rainer Brockerhoff announces the immediate availability of Zingg! 1.0, a fast launch contextual menu for the Mac OS X Finder.

Zingg! shows a list of all applications that claim to open the selected file. The user can select certain applications to be always included or always excluded from the list, and Classic applications may receive special handling.

You can find more information about Zingg! at the Rainer Brockerhoff Web site. Zingg! 1.0 is available as freeware.
