FireWire Depot Introduces Oxford 911 Powered 2.5" Hard Drive Enclosure

FireWire Depot has introduced a new 2.5" FireWire hard drive enclosure. The new enclosure called the MP 2.5" eDrive and is designed to be used with 2.5" ATA hard drives, like the ones used in most laptops. It is uses the Oxford 911 chipset for the FireWire bridge. According to FireWire Depot:

The enclosure uses the new Oxford 911 chip so you will maximum performance if using the new IBM 48G/5400 RPM 2.5" drive as well as enhanced performance using other, smaller capacity 4200 RPM hard drives. The enclosures accepts 9.5mm or 12.5mm hard drives from IBM, Fujitsu, and Toshiba.
