FireWire Depot Warns Of Virus On Installer CD

Late last week, FireWire Depot announced the presence of a virus on the installer CD for their 2.5"-3.5" FireWire/USB combo enclosures. While the virus is said to be non-destructive, FW Depot has posted new drivers for download at their Web site. According to FireWire Depot:

We have discovered a non-destructive virus (MBDF-A) in the USB drivers for the combo 2.5" and 3.5" FireWire/USB enclosures.

We recommend that you download the following free software to eradicate it from your system:

We have notified the manufacturer and the developer of the software and will receive new replacement CDis.
