Firefox 2.0 Officially Available

· by · News

After a false start earlier this week when unofficial links to Firefox 2.0 surfaced, Mozilla officially released the Web browser Tuesday afternoon. The new version of Firefox is a Universal Binary application capable of running natively on PowerPC and Intel-based Macs. It includes a revised interface, built-in phishing protection, improved searching capabilities, a Session Restore feature that reopens your browser windows or tabs if the application quits, and more.

Firefox 2.0 is free, and available for download at the Mozilla Web site.
