Firefox 3 Released, but Demand Crashes Servers

· by · News

Firefox 3 was released at 10 AM Pacific Time on Tuesday, but the attempt to set a download record and the corresponding demand has apparently left the Mozilla servers overwhelmed.

The dedicated Website for the formal release of FireFox 3 is not responding as of this writing, and only time will tell if the race between the server capabilities and demand can result in breaking the Guinness record for one day downloads.

Meanwhile, tgdaily has published the "Top 10 reasons why you should upgrade to Firefox 3."

The article is well digged and should be fun to read while waiting for the Mozilla servers to be resuscitated.
