Firewall Security Advisor Update From Open Door

Open Door Networks Inc. has released an update for Whois There? Firewall Advisor, bringing it to version 1.1.1. Whois There? is a firewall security analyzer designed to test and report on database infiltration. The new version brings OS X support and email alerts. According to Open Door Networks:

Firewall Advisor 1.1.1, a free upgrade, brings the Mac OS 8/9 version up to date with the Mac OS X version.

New features of Whois There? 1.1.1 include:

  • A column indicating whether an email has been sent in response to a particular access attempt
  • Support for new top-level domain names like .biz and .info
  • Updated information and advice about particular attacks
  • Bug fixes
