FirewireDirect Introduces Trayless Blu-ray Cluster Storage System

FirewireDirect announced the immediate availability of the HSB-V RAID Cluster Storage Subsystem on Wednesday. The four-bay drive unit is available with a 50GB Blu-ray reader/burner, can hold up to 4TB of storage, and does not require special trays for mounting drives.


HSB-V 4-bay RAID

The HSB-V includes either paired FireWire 800 and USB ports, eSATA ports, or Multilane Infiniband connectors. All drive bays are hot swappable and lockable, and support 3.5-inch SATA drives up to 1TB.

THe HSB-V is available at the FirewireDirect Web site and is priced at US$269 without any drives, $749 with a Blu-ray burner drive, and $1569 with four 1TB hard drives.
