Firewire Direct Launches Affordable, High Performance RAID

If youive been itching for a thousand gigabytes of high speed, external storage Firewire Directis new Pro Z-RAID is your ticket.

The FireWire 800 solution is available in storage capacities from 320GB to 1TB, using two hard drives that spin at 7200-rpm hard drives with up to 16MB of cache. The setup is packed into a compact aluminum enclosure that matches the styling of Appleis Power Mac G5, with cooling provided by dual low-noise fans.

Configurations and pricing follows: 320GB ($299.95), 400GB ($359.59), 500GB ($419.95), 600GB ($599.00), 800GB ($989.95), 1TB ($1,199.00). A drive-less kit (enclosure-only) is available for $119.95.
