FirmTek announced the immediate availability of the SeriTek/1SM2 PC Card adapter for the PowerBook G4 on Thursday. The SeriTek/1SM2 is a CardBus 32 slot Serial ATA adapter that supports two drives and with eSATA ports. A SATA-I adapter is also available.
FirmTek is also shipping its SeriTek/2EN2 dual bay external drive enclosure. The enclosure holds two hot-swappable 3.5-inch SATA hard drives in locking drive trays, and includes two fully shielded eSATA cables.
The SeriTek/1SM2 PC Card adapter and SeriTek/2EN2 dual bay external drive enclosure are available as a bundle now for US$279.95. The SeriTek/1SM2 PC Card adapter will be available separately for $89.95 in early June. The SeriTek/2EN2 enclosure is available separately now for $199.95, and additional drive trays cost $22.99 each.
