DiamondSoft, Inc. has released an update for Font Reserve, bringing it to version 3.1. Font Reserve is a font activation utility designed for professional publishing environments. The update features OS 10.2 support and other enhancements. According to DiamondSoft:

DiamondSoft, Inc. today released Font Reserve Single User 3.1, featuring the first and only method for system-wide automatic font activation on Mac OS X.

The major update to the award-winning Font Reserve also provides Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar) support, support for all the latest font formats, precision auto-activation for the most popular publishing programs, and a completely automated method for managing system fonts.

In addition to ongoing support for all popular PostScript and TrueType Macintosh fonts, version 3.1 adds support for OpenType, the joint Adobe and Microsoft cross-platform font standard, along with support for Windows TrueType, double-byte, and Appleis dFont fonts.

This version continues to support PostScript Multiple Master fonts which are now supported by Mac OS X 10.2. The expanded support ensures that users can manage all their fonts exclusively with Font Reserve.
