Formac Introduces New LCD Displays

Formac has introduced a new line of LCD displays called Gallery Xtreme. The displays come in 19" and 20" configurations, and feature a contrast ratio of 700:1 and a pixel response of 15ms.

The displays come with either DVI or ADC connectors, and both feature Formacis "4th generation ColorProof VA TFT" technology." The Gallery 1900 Xtreme features a SXGA resolution of 1,280 by 1,024. The Gallery 2010 Xtreme comes with a native UXGA resolution of 1,600 by 1,200. Both displays feature a 4:3 screen ratio, as opposed to Appleis more creative-oriented 16:9 wide-screen ratio.

Formac has aggressively priced the units: The 19" unit is priced at US$599, while the 20" unit is priced at $899. By comparison, Appleis 20" Cinema Display is priced at $1,299.
