Former VW Marketing Wiz Leaves Apple

· by · News

It would appear the fallout from Appleis Q4 earnings shortfall is still falling in Cupertino. C-Net is reporting that Steve Wilhite, Appleis Vice President of Marketing Communications, has resigned. Mr. Wilhite came to Apple with some fanfare after having brought Vokswagen of America from the brink of death to health. According to C-Net:

According to a spokeswoman, Steve Wilhiteis resignation is effective immediately. His replacement has not yet been named, she added.

In his position, Wilhite oversaw advertising, marketing communications and online marketing. He was Appleis primary contact with TBWA/Chiat/Day, the companyis advertising agency.

Mr. Wilhiteis departure follows the departure of Mitch Mandich, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales last month. Both resignations come as Apple struggles to reverse some sales decreases and a decrease in profits that hit in the companyis fiscal 4th Quarter.
