Gefen on Friday added a new 4x2 HDMI Switcher to its line of computer peripherals. The device features four HDMI inputs and two HDMI outputs, enabling users to connect four HD (high definition) video sources to two displays. It comes with an infrared remote control for switching between sources -- the 4x2 HDMI Switcher routes the video and audio to both displays.
The 4x2 HDMI Switcher can handle resolutions up to 1080p, plus multi-channel digital audio. In addition to the remote control, it comes with four six-foot HDMI cables and a power supply. Pricing is US$449.
