Google Mum on Google X Disappearance

· by Misha Sakellaropoulo · News

Google has pulled the plug on Google X less than a day after the page first went up.

Google X, as TMO reported Wednesday, was the brains of Google engineer Chikai Ohazama, who created an alternative front page for Google that featured Mac OS X Dock-like icons with links to other Google services, complete with mouse-over zooming of the icons.

Google spokesperson Eileen Rodriguez declined comment to TMO on the matter.
