Grant To Provide Apple Laptops To Six Texas School Districts

A local TV station in Lubbock, TX is reporting that a grant through Texas Tech will be providing laptops to teachers and students in Floydada Junior High school, a Lubbock school. The short report also says that five other school districts will also participate in the grant. From that report:

On Friday, Texas Tech announced the partnership which includes Floydada ISD, Apple Computer Inc. and the Region 17 Education Service Center. The $350,000 grant will give each student and teacher at Floydada Junior High a lap-top computer to use in the classroom.
