Green Dragon Updates Gridz For Mac OS X

· by · Games

Green Dragon Creations has updated their classic Mac game, Gridz. The game puts you in charge of an army of ToolBots (made up of Builders, Strikers, and Hackers), and your goal is no less grandiose than to take over all of iNet space. The update includes support for Mac OS X, improved GameRanger support for multiplayer games, and other networking improvements. The short note from Green Dragon:

Gridz 1.5 has now been released! Gridz 1.5 is finally here. It runs native on OS X (as well as still running on OS 8.6 and 9.x) and has some network tweaks in it to make netplay more reliable.

Minimum System Requirements:

  • PowerPC or 33Mhz 68040
  • Mac OS 7.5.1 or later (including Mac OS X)
  • 16MB of RAM (24MB Recommended)
  • CD-ROM drive
  • 640x480, 256 colors

Gridz is priced at US$20, and registered owners of previous versions can upgrade for US$10. The company also says that anyone who purchased Gridz in 2002 can upgrade for free. Gridz 1.5 does require a new serial number. You can find more information on Gridz 1.5 at the dedicated Gridz Web Site.
