Griffin Announces FireWire Cables for New iPod mini, iPod photo

Griffin Technology announced Thursday Dock400, a FireWire cable for Appleis new iPod mini and iPod photo product lines. The Dock400 FireWire cable is intended to be used to connect your current generation iPod to your Mac or PC via FireWire, as Apple only supplies USB 2.0 cables with the new models.

The Dock400 is 48" long, and is made with Apple-approved FireWire connectors. According to Griffin, it can be used with either an iPod dock or by being plugged directly into an iPod.

The Dock400 is priced at US$17.95 and will begin shipping in the first week of March. You can find pre-order links and more information at Griffinis Web site.
