H amrick Software today released VueScan 8.1.5, a new version of its versatile scanning software that now supports all Canon scanners.
"Canon scanners are among the worldis most widely sold scanners," noted Ed Hamrick, president of Hamrick Software. "VueScanis well-known capabilities in producing high-quality scans will complement the high-quality scanner hardware from Canon to produce outstanding results."
No other software supports all of Canonis consumer and professional scanners, Hamrick says.
Specifically, version 8.1.5 adds support for 16 Canon models: CanoScan LiDE 35, CanoScan LiDE 50, CanoScan LiDE 80, CanoScan D640U, CanoScan D1230U, CanoScan D1250U, CanoScan D2400U, CanoScan 3000F, CanoScan 3200F, CanoScan 4200F, CanoScan 5000F, CanoScan 5200F, CanoScan 8000F, CanoScan 8400F, CanoScan 9900F, and CanoScan 9950F.
A handful of smaller changes have also been included with this release.
VueScan sells for $59.95 as a Standard version, and $79.95 for a Professional version that includes the ability to create raw scan files, use ICC profiles and color spaces, IT8 color calibration, and unlimited updates.
