Handheld Scanner Builds Grocery Lists

Intelliscanner announced the Kitchen Companion 100 on Wednesday. The Kitchen Companion 100 is a scanner and software combination that tracks grocery barcodes and builds shopping lists for you. Groceries can be tracked by consumption history, physical location, and more. Shopping lists can be categorized, and then either printed, or downloaded to an iPod, Palm PDA, or cell phone. Kitchen Companion 100 is available for pre-order at the Intelliscanner Web site, and will start shipping the week of January 9, 2006. It is priced at US$279 with a portable Bluetooth scanner, and $179 for a USB model.
