Happy Birthday, Apple!

· by · News

Quick, who was born on this day in 1976? If you guessed The Beatles, you are not only hopelessly out of touch, you may be dangerously oblivious to a little thing called "irony."

Think, man*, think!

No, the correct answer is Apple! Apple was officially founded on April Foolis Day in 1976. After all, Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ron Wayne had some Apple I units to sell. While they might not have realized it, of course, they were also ushering in a new era in computing.

Happy Birthday, Apple, and thanks for 28 years of insanely great computing (if you donit mind counting the mid-1990s)!

An extra special thanks to Steve Wozniak for designing the Apple I and Apple II, and to Steve Jobs for realizing he could sell these digital creations.
