Hawaii Apple Store Boasts Lava Facade

Apple Inc. opened its third and largest Apple Store on Hawaiiis Waikiki island over the weekend, but this one takes a page, or a stone, from the local area by offering visitors a façade of cut lava stones. Covering the event for his Hawaii Blog, Ryan Ozawa wrote that the store received an Hawaiian blessing, with a line beginning to form at 3:00 AM local time.

Calling the turnout sparse -- with as many as 400 in line -- Mr. Ozawa posted pictures, a story, and a high-definition video of last minute, pre-opening work being done on the store, as well as the opening festivities themselves.
