ID3X Update Fixes A "Huge" Classic Bug

· by Mike Washlesky · News

Three-2-One has released a maintenance update for ID3X, bringing it to version 2.6.1. ID3X is a MP3 file editor designed for renaming music files for iPod and iTunes. The update features a "huge" bug fix. According to Three-2-One:

Weire proud to announce a new version of our shareware ID3X for Mac OS (Carbon).

ID3X is an editor for easy manipulation of ID3 tags in mp3 music files. ID3 tags are used to store title, artist and other information in mp3 files which can then be displayed in your favorite mp3 player application.

The new version fixes a huge bug which corrupted MP3 files in low memory conditions under OS 9.

Weire looking for beta testers for our upcoming major update of ID3X which will fully support unicode. So users with japanese, chinese, korean etc. tagged MP3 files are welcome to contact us directly for further details.

You can find more information about the ID3X update at the Three-2-One Web site. ID3X 2.6.1 is free for registered users, while the full version is available for US$15.00.
