If Then Software has released an update for Dark Side of Oz, bringing it to version 1.1. Dark Side of Oz is a utility designed for showing a user the uncanny coincidences between Pink Floydis "Dark Side of the Moon" and the classic Wizard of Oz film. The update adds movie trivia and automated Dark Side of the Moon playing via iTunes. According to If Then Software:

If Then Software updates "Dark Side of Oz" to 1.1.

Dark Side of Oz (1.1) is a fun utility that will allow you to quickly and easily see the 50+ "coincidences" in the Wizard of Oz movie while playing Pink Floydis "Dark Side of the Moon" CD as the soundtrack.

"Several years ago a rumor began to circulate about a strange connection between Pink Floydis Dark Side of the Moon (1973) and the MGM classic film The Wizard of Oz (1939).

If you properly synchronize the film and the album, as the rumor goes, a number of coincidental events occur. So many, in fact, that a large audience is convinced that Pink Floyd intentionally created Dark Side of the Moon as an alternative soundtrack to the film."

New this version:

  • Added a trivia feature that will show random facts about the movie while the program runs
  • Added the ability to automatically play "Dark Side of the Moon" through iTunes if it is available
