Impression 2.0 Now Shipping

The Babel Company has released a new version of Impression, bringing it to version 2.0. Impression is a utility designed for the secure backup of optical disc directories. The latest release features a redesigned UI and bookmark based backup. According to The Babel Company:

The Babel Company is pleased to announce the 2.0 release of Impression, a backup utility for Mac OS X.

Impression is a low cost backup utility used to back up directories to (and restore them from) multiple optical discs (CD-R, CD-RW, and DVD-R are supported). It includes a utility for erasing rewritable discs.

Impression 2.0 offers the most substantial update thus far to the backup application for OS X. The UI has been completely redesigned, scratch space can now be selected for disks other than the startup drive, individual files can be added to the backup list, Unicode file name parsing has been greatly improved and several bugs have fixed.

This version also offers the introduction of a new bookmark-based backup management feature and full compatibility with OS X 10.3is iFileVaulti feature.
