Impression Gets Maintenance Update From The Babel Company

The Babel Company has released an update for Impression, bringing it to version 1.6. Impression is a utility designed for the secure backup of optical disc directories. The update features improved speed an "serious" bug fixes. According to The Babel Company:

The Babel Company is pleased to announce the 1.6 release of Impression, a backup utility for Mac OS X.

Impression is a low cost backup utility used to back up directories to (and restore them from) multiple optical discs (CD-R, CD-RW, and DVD-R are supported). It includes a utility for erasing rewritable discs.

Impression 1.6 brings a significant speed boost and bug fixes to the backup application for OS X. File copy backup speeds have been improved by over 40%, and hfspax speeds by up to 10%. Some serious bugs and many trivial issues have been fixed as well.
