Media Design in*Progress has released an upgrade for Interaction, bringing it to version 3.6. Interaction is an XML based Web application server that is designed to allow users to add interactivity and community to their Web site. The new version includes new features, and the company has announced that it will be donating 100% of sales of the product to the Red Cross through September. According to Media Design in*Progress:

Media Design in*Progress releases the Interaction 3.6 XML based Web application server for Macintosh. The new release performs server-side XSL transformations and upgrades the integrated style sheets editor to cover all properties of CSS2.

Extensible Stylesheet Language (XSL) is a standard from the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) used to build templates for the layout of web pages. Cascading Stylesheets Level 2 (CSS2) is a W3C standard for designing the presentation style of a web page.

Interaction generates standard HTML pages at serving time from server-side XML and style sheets. Conventional HTML documents can be used as is or enhanced with XML constructs, facilitating a smooth transition from HTML to Extensible HTML and XML.

Media Design in*Progress will donate 100% of the sales of Interaction personal licenses through September to the Red Cross .

You can find more information about the Interaction 3.6 upgrade at the Media Design in*Progress Web site. Single user licences available for US$279.00.
