Intuit on Tuesday issued Quicken For Mac 2007, updating the financial software with new features that include paycheck management, 401(k) investment management, and a QuickEntry Dashboard Widget. In addition, the upgrade offers easier backup of data to a .Mac account and the ability to synchronize account balances.

Pricing is US$69.99, although Intuitis Web site showed a $59.99 price as TMO posted this article. System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3.9 or higher and 1GB of free hard drive space; v10.4.5 is required to use the QuickEntry Widget.

MacCentral confirmed that Quicken 2007 is not a Universal Binary, although one reader in the comments section said it ran fine on a MacBook Pro. Intuit would not say if the software will be updated any time soon with native Intel processor support.
