J2SCatalog 1.2 Adds Several XML-Based Capabilities to InDesign

J2S has released version 1.2 of J2SCatalog, the companyis InDesign CS plug-in that uses an XML data source to automatically tag and generate document layouts. Itis often used for creating catalogs, property listings, directories and other publications that rely on databases. This upgrade adds a layout template creation module, the ability to use multiple page templates to define alternate layouts, the ability to specify an imageis position in the frames and more.

This is a free update for existing users. A version compatible with InDesign CS2 "will be released shortly," according to the developer. The full software is €600 (US$721 at current exchange rates); the demo version is limited to the first 10 records of an XML file.
