J2S is shipping a new app for Mac users, J2SEditor 1.0. J2SEditor is an IPTC caption editor designed for editing image files. The app features support for all ITCP compatible files including JPEG and PSD. According to J2S:

J2S announces the availability of its J2SEditor, an IPTC caption editor with file management capabilities running on MacOS X.

J2SEditor is a programme designed to edit picture documents. Its image browser displays documents thumbnails and helps you sort files . Its caption editing module lets you add or modify textual meta-data of graphics files separately or in batch without affecting the documents (e.g. the caption of a JPEG file can be updated without recompression of the document).

Amongst other features, J2SEditor provides a toolbar e.g. for quick access to applications, folders. It can also add a colour profile to JPEG files and send a selection of documents to a FTP site.

J2SEditor supports all IPTC-compatible file formats such as JPEG, TIF, Photoshop (PSD) and native IPTC image files (the IPTC is a standard used in the press industry for exchanging information).

You can find more information about the J2SEditor release at the J2S Web site. J2SEditor 1.0 is available for US$250.00.
