Jobs Confirms Paris Apple Store "in 2007", Report Says

Apple Computer will open a retail store in Paris, France "in 2007", the companyis co-founder and CEO, Steve Jobs, told a reporter for the French news site MacPlus.net, Tuesday.

Touring Appleis elaborate retail store in London on Tuesday with Jonathan Ive, Appleis vice-president of industrial design, Mr. Jobs was asked by a reporter for MacPlus about an Apple store in Paris and when it might open.

"Opening in 2007," Mr. Jobs answered quickly. Mr. Ive also repeated the same comment.

The reporter was unable to get either man to confirm other details, such as a location.

Apple presently has six locations outside the U.S. -- one in Canada, three in Japan and two in Great Britain.
