Jobs Keynote Webcast to be Delayed 9 Hours

· by Brad Gibson · News

Apple Computer will not provide a live satellite feed or Webcast of Steve Jobsi keynote at Mac Expo in San Francisco on Tuesday, January 11, but instead will post it for viewing some nine hours later.

In a press statement, the company said it would post the keynote for viewing via QuickTime at around 9 p.m. EST Tuesday -- some nine hours after the keynote will have concluded.

Company sources who asked not to be named have confirmed to The Mac Observer that the reason for the decision to not broadcast the event live, as it has done in past years, was because the financial cost savings outweighed the marketing benefits.
